A valued member of the LANTEC instructional team since 2012, Alia Johnson is an expert Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Organizational Change Management consultant and end-user software facilitator. Her extensive experience working with public agencies, the private sector, organizations, and academic institutions to promote DEI values, racial equity, and resiliency processes has made her an incredible asset to our team. 

Alia excels in creating effective strategies for integrating DEIA and Change Management principles into organizational practices. Her expertise in project management has helped her drive innovation, enhance staff performance, and optimize resources to achieve corporate goals. She is a team leader with strong interpersonal skills and a positive working culture. Alia has worked as a Lead Trainer and Organizational Change Management consultant for the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, a Contract Consultant/Trainer for various clients, and a Project Management Support/Trainer at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. She also served as an instructor during LANTEC’s Department of Justice – USAO WordPerfect conversion to Word nationwide rollout in 2012-2013.

With a B.A. in Social Sciences and Business Management from American International College, and an M.S. in Project Management from Boston University, she also specializes in assimilating, designing and delivering proprietary software systems training. Alia holds certifications in the Microsoft Office Suite and has a broad background in legal office software tools. Alia volunteers as the Board of Directors Secretary at Takoma Park DC Swim Club in her free time.
